The film opened with positive results. It was in the making of a hit film. The movie did decent business at the box office and public and critics like it alike. Film received positive critical reception. Taran Adarsh gave the film four stars saying "a beautiful movie". Times of India (national newspaper) gave it Three stars. Planet Bollywood gave the film 8.0/10 public rated and 7.3 according to their unique users.
